The Suite is the largest and most dramatic room. The four-poster bed, the blue and gold damask fabrics and the full curtains evoke Venetian elegance. Masks and paintings of Venice adorn the walls.
The sitting area is furnished with a large sofa bed upholstered in matching fabric. With the sofa bed open, the space becomes a second bedroom; with a small table added, it also works as a place to have dinner.
The sloping ceiling reveals the imposing Palladian timber trusses, built by the Marchesini family in the mid-seventeenth century and restored in keeping with their original form. They give the Suite the authentic character of the historic house.
The bathroom, finished in pale blue mosaic and white tiles, has a corner shower and bidet. The kettle lets you make tea or a herbal infusion in your room. Bathroom amenities are provided, along with a range of eco-friendly solid toiletries: a shampoo and conditioner bar and a solid body wash, with no plastic bottles.
