Avant-garde Futurism
The well-known Palazzo Zabarella in Padua is 40 minute drive away. Here you can visit the exhibition “Futurism. The birth of the 1910-1915 avant-garde” which investigates the origins of the movement from an unprecedented point of view. It is an experience that delves deeply, researching the cultural and symbolic assumptions behind Futurism, a period characterized by various souls and themes.
The break with the patterns of the past and that revolutionary feeling of renewal and confidence in the future, typical of this artistic movement, are visible in the more than 100 works set up in the different rooms of Palazzo Zabarella. They are all dated from 1910, the year of the foundation of Futurism in painting, to 1915, the date of publication of the famous Manifesto and the entry into the war of Italy. You can let yourself be carried away in this journey back in time thanks to the unpublished or rarely exhibited works of over 45 different lenders.
You have until 26 February 2023 to admire the masterpieces of artists such as Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, Luigi Russolo, Antonio Sant’Elia, Giacomo Balla, and Gino Severini. The works belong to the same movement but to different shades and visions, such as “Dynamism”, “Simultaneity”, “Three-dimensionality” and “Polymaterialism” universes to discover and explore!
Antiquaria Padova, the experience that makes the difference
If you are passionate about antiques and ancient art, do not miss the 38th edition of Antiquaria Padova. There are over 10,000 visitors among collectors, investors, and enthusiasts who every year cross the gates of the fair for a full immersion in the varied world of antiques. Here you will not only find antique furniture of great value but also tapestries and carpets, paintings from the seventeenth to the twentieth century, curious sculptures, sparkling jewelry, and even silver, glass, and frames!

The great return of the Fair of San Martino in Piove di Sacco
Have you got plans for November 11th? Get ready to experience a long weekend of food, animal exhibitions, typical products, and lots of fun! After two years of stoppage, the “franca” Fair of San Martino, a popular event that has 392 years of history, returns to animate the small Piove di Sacco, the capital of Saccisica.
For the occasion, there will be hundreds of stalls and food stands and you can have fun with the 32 attractions of Luna Park or love art and photographic exhibitions. Also, you should know that the same day takes place the traditional Fair of Livestock and agricultural equipment.
The Fair of San Martino, suitable for couples, friends, and families, is also an opportunity to spend a day in Piove di Sacco, just 13 minute drive from our elegant structure. The historical re-enactment of the Zogo de l’Oca in Mirano
To complete your stay at the Hotel Antica Corte Marchesini we suggest a dip in the past! Do you know the famous Gioco dell’Oca? In Mirano, on November 13, six teams, representing the capital and its five fractions, will compete with dice to reach box 63 of a great game of the living goose!
